Anyone 18 years of age or older can book a charter. Fishing charters are booked for many reasons:
Show off your big catch to your friends
Get out of the office
Treat clients and employees
Gifts for Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, reunions, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and other holidays (gift certificates available).
What if I have more than six people for a trip?
Per USCG regulations, we are limited to six persons per boat, no matter the age — but no worries…
If you have a large group, seven or more persons, this will become a multi-boat charter. We have many other charter boats we work with and can accommodate 80+ customers. Multi-boat charters should be booked as soon as possible due to availability and coordination of boats/schedules
What if I’ve never fished before?
No fishing experience necessary! We welcome everyone from beginners to pros. Many beginners have reeled in some very large fish. There are no age limitations! Your captain and deckhand are more than happy to provide coaching and pass on tips as to the best way to reel in the fish.
Can I bring alcohol on the boat?
If you are of legal drinking age, you may get approval from the captain ahead of time. Cans and plastics only (as glass can severely damage fiberglass if dropped & broke). Illegal substances of any kind are not allowed.
Do I need to buy a license?
A fishing license is required for any individual 16 years and older.
These licenses may be purchased prior to the trip. The most convenient way is online. Click GoWildWi to purchase your license.
We have Wisconsin two–day licenses available on the boat and they are $14.00 per person including the Lake Michigan Salmon/Trout Stamp.
We WILL need to verify all licenses prior to departure.
How much do I have to pay to reserve the date?
There is a $150.00 Deposit to reserve the date. We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express and Discover as well as Cash or Check.
What if I have to change the date of my fishing charter or cancel?
We understand emergencies/changes in plans may come up — it is our policy that any cancellation will sacrifice your deposit unless we are able to re-book that date. If you just need to change to your date we may be able to do that. It depends on availability and if we are able to fill the date you had. The sooner you notify us, the better the odds. Extenuating circumstances will be considered, please make sure to talk to us directly.
What if the weather is bad?
The boat can fish in all kinds of weather, but no matter what — safety comes first! If weather reports are looking unfavorable, the captain will reach out to you before the trip to let you know there is a chance that the charter may need to be rescheduled. We are constantly tracking weather during our season and do our best to give our customers plenty of notice but sometimes (although rare), we may not cancel until the time of your trip. The captain’s decision is always final. Again, safety comes first!! If a cancellation happens, your deposit is never lost due to weather-related cancellations.
Do we need to bring fishing poles/tackle?
No, we supply everything. The type of fishing is trolling and the captain & deckhand will set the lines. If this is your first time out, don’t be shy — ask questions about what we’re doing.
Are ‘tips’ common on a charter fishing trip?
Yes – tips are appreciated, 20% is customary. The captain & deckhand work very hard, putting customers on fish, cleaning & bagging your catch, in addition to ensuring you’re safe and having a good time.
What time of year is the best to book a trip?
April – June – We catch the highest number of fish, most of which are the smaller Coho Salmon. (Very Tasty)
June – August – We catch bigger fish, but not as many as in spring. You will usually end up with more meat overall.
August – October – Trophy time is in the fall catching King Salmon, Lake Trout, Brown Trout, and Rainbow (Steelhead) Trout.
Is there a bathroom on board?
Yes, we have a large clean head. (bathroom)
How will we clean the fish?
We will clean, ice, and bag your fish at no additional charge. Please remember to bring a cooler to get the fish home.
What do we do if it rains?
We fish rain or shine. The fish are already wet so they don’t mind. The captain will cancel if the conditions are too severe. (Wave height/lightning).
Please dress for the weather.
The most common types of fish we catch are Coho Salmon, Chinook (King) Salmon, Rainbow Trout, Lake Trout & Brown Trout. Upon rare occasions, we may catch a Pink Salmon or Atlantic Salmon. Details about these fish can be found on our Fish We Catch page. As far as how many, there is a limit of 5 fish per person.

Deposit of $150 ($300 for packages) is required at the time of booking to secure your date — all major credit cards accepted.

Trip Times are from Dock to Dock.
The captain & deckhand work very hard to put clients on fish and ensure you’re safe and having a good time. Tips are always appreciated.
